Morgan starred in Morgan was featured in a Safe Sex for Men and Women educational video that focused on AIDS prevention and education. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the driving force in many fundraising campaigns to fight the disease. She also addressed a Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She sits on the board of Governors of APLA as well as the Board of Directors of Amfar. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to substitute for him during AIDS celebrations and she's hosted an AIDS Awareness Special featuring news anchorman Steve Bell. She has appeared twice on Nightline together with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan was a co-star in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife during the spring season along with Joan Rivers. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Also, it featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. After that, she was sent to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the show. Morgan was also the protagonist in a psychological thriller which was exclusively produced for the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings ever recorded by the network.
